One of my favorite times of year is spring in Skagit Valley.  We live just 10 minutes from the tulip fields, so I try to get out a few times a year and enjoy the beautiful blooms.  The weather was really nice last week, so we visited the fields a couple times.  The nice things about living so close is that we can go during off-peek times and enjoy the fields without the crazy crowds.

Lauren was not so into the fields the second time around.  "I don't want to play in the tulips!"

She did, however, find a little barn to play by and that kept her busy for a long time!

Her favorite thing to do these days is play hide and go seek.

"Lauren where are you?"

You might be wondering where the pictures of Logan are.  He decided to snooze right through all the fun.

I am finally getting around to blogging a few pictures from the last few months.  Life has settled down a bit now that the busy newborn period is ending and Logan is getting on more of a schedule.  Logan is such a happy little baby!  Lauren was a really fussy baby, so I was prepared for some really long days and nights.  I was happily surprised at how easy going Logan is.

Lauren adjusted really well to having a new baby around.  She loves her brother.  These days she is busy "helping mommy" with every thing from diapers to cooking.  Her dolls always have a clean diaper on!

Play, play, play!  Lauren is such a busy little 2 year old with an adventurous spirit!  At daycare they often paint hand prints and foot prints, so every time the paints come out the socks come off!

This little guy is already getting so big!

I went to MN to visit family in February.  Lauren had fun playing with her cousins, and I got to meet my sweet niece Isabella!

 Isn't she a beauty!

We've got some news!  Baby Boy Applewhite is due this November!  Lauren is going to be a big sister!  I've been slacking on the blog a bit because this little boy I'm carrying was making this mamma very sick this spring.  I felt like I was living under a "nausea cloud" because I felt sick every day, all day for 16 weeks.  Ugh, the cloud finally lifted and by 20 weeks into the pregnancy the nausea was nearly gone.  Thank goodness!  Baby boy is due November 28th.  Looks like we could have another Thanksgiving baby!

This summer has been a busy one.  It has been absolutely gorgeous this summer; sunny and warm almost every day.  We've been visiting the splash park across the street often.  In June we went to Tennessee for Greg's grandpa's birthday.  The whole family was there;  it was great to see everyone.   Lauren just loved playing with Grandpa.  It is hard living so far away from family.  Here are some pictures from the TN trip.

In July we had the Peatrowsky family visit!  It was so much fun to have my sister here with her two cute little boys.  We visited Brianna and Matthew in Ellensburg, hung out by the pool a lot, and took a day trip to Deception Pass.  Lauren was very sad to see her cousins leave.  She still points to little boys that look like her cousin Nathan and says "nay-nay."   She wants her playmates to visit again!
